Last Saturday I went to a protest rally for Proposition 8. It took place in City Hall in Manhattan. This is the California ruling against Gay couple to be able to Marry and be recognize as legal within the state. This is still lame. Gay couple should be able to marry in all stats of united states of America. It was okay for gay couples to Marry in California in May 2008 by the ruling of Supreme court. And in November the the religious groups of the state rappelled the law and through voting of he religious groups the Marriage between gay couples ware ban once again. This caused outrage in the gay community and all over the country there is protest. The ruling happened right after Obama won the election to be the first Black president of the United States and how it made United states looked like a forward thinking country. But a day later it was proven wrong by taking a step backward toward equal rights to gay people. This makes me sad and angry knowing how some people can be so ignorant and hateful toward another human being. I don't understand how marriage of a gay couple affects a heterosexual couples marriage. This proposition is more like proposition hate. Why can't those people focus on Love then focus on hate. This is the question lingers in my mind...
