Spontaneous Day

Yesterday after work. Mark and I decide to walk toward the Brooklyn bridge station to take the train home. But it was a beautiful day and the Sun was still up on the sky.
We were by the station and we noticed the bridge at a near distant. Mark says he never walked across the bridge. So i say let's do it. We both agree and decide to walk across and to Brooklyn. Brooklyn bridge is beautiful. The wooden walk way, the strong steel wires, the brick walls are a piece of art. We walk on this live art as we head toward Brooklyn. On the way we stop to take photos of the beautiful structure and sentries around. We both agree that we are so lucky to live in new york and why this is the greatest city in the world to us. On the right of you you can see Pier 17 where the memories of last summers outdoor dance party still lingers on. And on the left you can view this years public art project the NY water fall.
Once we go across we decide to check out Dumbo to grab a bite to eat. We find a restaurant called Rice. I have been there once before. It's a lovely restaurant with out door seating space. The wait staff is quite friendly. We were happy to have a bottle of beer and after our meal. We were invited to their downstairs "Low Bar" for a complementary drink on the owner. They were promoting their brand new bar. It was a nice lounge space. The ginger Mojito cocktail was good but our bar tender makes them strong and a bit spicy due to the ginger. Another word i would not have that drink again. We meet the Australian owner. Nice guy. He chats with us a bit. Mark decides this will be a great space for a birthday party or office party or even a scavenger hunt. The owner gives us two free drink tickets to come back again for next time we are in the area and decide we will be back there in another spontaneous day as this one. We head home on a cab.
